Strength that is Felt, Not Forced.
Trauma-Informed Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Wellness in Geraldton. We don't do "smash" culture. We build confidence through connection, safety, and technical control.
True power comes from a calm state.
For many, martial arts is about aggression—getting heightened, smashing through resistance, and fighting fire with fire. Graceful Valour is different.
With over 10 years of experience on the mats, I teach from a place of Trauma-Informed Care. I believe that to truly learn to defend yourself, your nervous system needs to feel safe, not threatened.
We train to stay calm under pressure. We train to find clarity in the chaos.
We train to create confidence in conflict.
And yes, we have a laugh while we do it. Because if you can't giggle while learning how to escape a headlock, are you even living?
OFFERINGS
-
A dedicated, closed-container program designed specifically for women. This is a 4-week commitment to yourself and a small group of other women. We strip away the intimidation and focus on the fundamentals of movement, boundaries, and self-defense.
The Vibe: Honest, safe, and let’s be real—a little bit sweaty.
What to Expect: I’ll be honest up front about what you poor women are about to be subjected to! We cover the awkward stuff, the scary stuff, and the "how do I get this person off me" stuff, all in a space where you can ask anything.
-
Sometimes you need a space that is just yours (or yours and a couple of mates).
For Competitors: We dial in your game plan so you step onto the mat grounded, not frantic.
For Healing: For teenagers, assault victims, or those processing trauma. We move at your pace, focusing on autonomy. You are always in the driver’s seat.
Small Groups: Grab a few friends and learn together. It’s cheaper than therapy and way more fun.

Are you making informed choices, or just doing what you’ve always done? This is a 4 or 8-week program built personally for you. We cover Mindset, Exercise, Food, and Referrals. The purpose is to create curiosity about why we do what we do. The goal isn’t just weight loss (though that often happens as a nice side effect)—it’s about breaking old habits to bring harmony and a "new you" lifestyle that actually serves you.
A Home for the Community
Geraldton’s First Trauma-Informed BJJ Hub.
Graceful Valour has a dedicated community space for men, women, and kiddos right here in windy Gero.
I currently have 4 rolls of grappling mats which is the foundation of the only Trauma-Informed BJJ gym of its kind in the area (a bit like Broome Mixed Martial Arts, which is still going strong!).
The Pathway: Graduates of Women Warriors will have a direct path into our "Newbies Fundys" class, where I’ll be teaching more BJJ tech.
The Goal: To build a community where everyone—regardless of history or size—can train with safety and respect. Watch this space!
Wear the Valour
The Graceful Valour Rash Guard. Designed for comfort, coverage, and durability. Whether you are on the mats or in the ocean, represent the community. I always have these available to sell (gotta keep good ol' Bryce busy!).
